Duo charged with aggravated robbery further remanded
TWO men charged for allegedly robbing an Indonesian national of assorted items have been further remanded in custody.
Jonetani Raciva and Simione Turagavou are charged with aggravated robbery, while third accused Katherine Bulewa is charged with receiving stolen property.
Mr Raciva and Mr Turagavou appeared before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe in the High Court in Suva this afternoon.
The alleged incident happened on October 11, 2018, at Signal nightclub in Suva.
In the first case, the two had allegedly robbed one complainant off his mobile phone and wallet containing $27 and on the same night in Suva, the two accused were alleged to have again robbed the said Indonesian off his two mobile phones and wallet containing $400 and foreign currency.
Meanwhile, Ms Bulewa failed to appear in court today.
The court heard she has been charged with absconding bail.
She was alleged to have received two mobile phones that were stolen property from the two male accused persons.
The matter will be called again on May 3.
