Palm Sunday celebrated in churches around the country
CHILDREN from christian denominations around the country today celebrated the annual palm Sunday to mark Jesus Christ’s entry into the city of Jerusalem.
Head of the Catholic Church in Fiji Archbishop Peter Loy Chong stressed how today was not only about children’s Sunday but marks the beginning of Holy Week.
“This is what gave birth to Christianity and the Catholic Church today,” Archbishop Loy Chong said.
“This is the event that changed the world from some of the Jews and the disciples it’s the death and resurrection of, Jesus.”
Archbishop Loy Chong adds the important message for children this Sunday that Jesus died and after three days he rose again.
