Singapore 7s : Fiji in final
FIJI has another chance to redeem its pool play loss to South Africa when they meet in the final of the Singapore 7s tonight.
This after the side beat England 26-12 in a scintillating semi-final that showed the class of the new players.
Fiji led at half time 12-0 after a brace of tries from forward Josua Vakurunabili one of which was converted by Livai Ikanikoda
However, England upped their game at the restart taking advantage of the yellow card to Fiji captain Paula Dranisinukula.
Harry Glover crossed over for their first. Two minutes later, Ryan Olowofela crossed for England’s second try. Captain Tom Mitchell added the extra points
But Fiji, again a man down with Aminiasi Tuimaba copping a yellow card for a deliberate knock on still managed two score twice.
Coach Gareth Baber said it was self belief and predicted a tough contest in the final with South Africa
