Uluivalili athletes to rise above difficulties


MANY schools a lot of through many drawbacks in making their way to the Coca-cola Games in Suva.

Many have travelled far, leaving their families in the early hours of the morning to compete in the much anticipated event in Fiji.

One of these schools is Uluivalili College from Wailevu, Savusavu.

The school has fielded in 17 athletes to the Coca-cola Games and will be performing their best at the games.

Head coach Rosalia Loyola said most of the athletes will be participating for the first time at the games.

“Most of our athletes are competing today for the first time and this is a big thing for them, especially coming from the rural areas where we don’t see much.

“From the difficulties faced in getting here, we will try our best to prove to other bigger schools that we too can do it,” said Loyola.
